LOW FLUENCE HAIR REDUCTION TECHNIQUE

LOW FLUENCE HAIR REDUCTION TECHNIQUE

USING LHE ( Light Heat & Energy )

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Statistics published by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery show that laser hair removal is among the top 5 most popular minimally invasive procedures for both men and women.

We at NISARG SKIN LASERS have done 542 case studies using LOW FLUENCE LHETM (Radiancy USA) \Laser device since December 2003 at our centre for facial Hair removal.

Materials and Methods:

542 patients of Facial Hair Reduction therapy were selected. Patients with endocrine disturbances like PCOD were excluded from study. Patients having photo-sensitizing disorders were also excluded from study. Age was no bar except any patients less than 18 years of age were selected. Total study period was 48 months.

Detail scientific data and conclusion is under final scientific evaluation and once statistical analysis is completed will be published in appropriate scientific journal. The Idea of publishing this Medical Blog is to get some scientific response from colleagues from medical world regarding any such study published or done somewhere in other part of the world.

  • Total Number of Patients 542

Conclusion:

As this is not a comparative study the only conclusion drawn at present is LHETM (Radiancy USA) and Lasers can be used at lower Fluence also making use of Low energy at a short Interval for facial hair reduction technique , giving patient more comfort and flexibility at a Lower Cost . More and Long term trials are needed to see long term effects and side effects if any.

IMPORTANT:

This is an UN-published trial and should not be quoted in any scientific study by any author.
